Wings Over the Wetland on Saturday, October 23, 2021
John Bunker Sands Wetland Center

Dust off your boots and come on down to the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center for an old fashioned country party, themed Harvest Hootenanny. Be entertained by a local bluegrass band, Acoustic Sound Hounds, feast on amazing BBQ catered by Pecan Lodge, engage with live Owls from Window to the Wild, and gather round the campfire while eating peach cobbler with homemade ice cream from Two Old Cranks. Only 25 miles from downtown Dallas, the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center provides unique water education programs and nature adventures in the middle of the 2,000-acre East Fork Water Reuse Project, managed by our partner the North Texas Municipal Water District. This man-made wetland recycles up to 90 million gallons of water a day while providing crucial habitat for birds, reptiles, fish, and mammals.

Your past support has been instrumental in sustaining our organization through the challenges of the pandemic. Now, I humbly ask for your support to help us raise $250,000 to support our Education Team and continue our conservation programs on our new expanded campus.
